STORY FORMS

Four ways to remember a place without reducing it to promotion.

These forms describe editorial intent, not mandatory templates. Each story can combine field observation, photography, people, research, food, wildlife, and change while keeping its provenance visible.

01

FIELD STORY

What changed, what was observed, and what field work revealed without turning an unfinished observation into certainty.

02

LANDSCAPE NOTE

Karst, water, forest, weather, habitat, and spatial relationships made legible through place-based narrative.

03

PEOPLE & WORK

Guiding, food, stewardship, research, local knowledge, and everyday labor told with attribution and consent.

04

CHANGE OVER TIME

Monitoring, restoration, operations, and seasonal change documented so the destination keeps a memory of itself.

EDITORIAL CHAIN

Observation becomes story through controlled interpretation.

Lens separates observation, attribution, verification, context, review, and publication so narrative confidence does not run ahead of the evidence.

01

OBSERVE

Begin with a real place, field note, person, media asset, or event.

02

ATTRIBUTE

Keep authorship, people, landscape context, rights, consent, and source relationships visible.

03

VERIFY

Separate what is observed, what is interpreted, and what is still uncertain.

04

CONTEXTUALIZE

Connect story context to Labs, Map, geosites, and operational knowledge without claiming they are direct sources unless they are.

05

REVIEW

Editorial review checks completeness, landscape context, approved media, and publication readiness.

06

PUBLISH

Only public-safe story records and public-safe linked entities become visitor-facing.

EVIDENCE NEIGHBORHOOD

A story should have somewhere deeper to go.

PUBLIC STORIES

Published when story and source context are ready.

Lens does not need placeholder articles to look active. Draft field stories can continue internally until editorial, landscape, media, and publication gates are complete.

CURRENT RELEASE STATUS

No Lens story is publicly released yet.

Draft stories can already exist internally. They remain absent here until publication and linked-context gates allow a public release.

CONTINUE EXPLORING

Go from story back to evidence and place.

Lens is not an endpoint. Follow the sources, geography, and place context behind each story.
